The latest Russian infantry fighting vehicle (IFV) "Manul", developed by specialists from Kurganmashzavod, may receive the "Epoch" module with a 57-millimeter automatic cannon. At the same time, the vehicle is being developed taking into account the real combat experience gained by the Russian military.
The module will allow the IFV to reliably hit similar enemy vehicles with artillery fire. The use of modern 57-millimeter ammunition will ensure the fulfillment of a wider range of tasks.
The unification of components and a common technical base with the BMP-3 reduces costs at all stages of the product life cycle: development, manufacturing, personnel training, operation and repair.
The new IFV has a reserve for possible improvement in protection (armor) and an increase in payload.
The front location of the UTD-32T engine will allow the crew and troops to enter the IFV more conveniently through the rear ramp, and will also facilitate loading of ammunition and cargo into the vehicle.
The "Manul" engine power is 816 hp, and its combat module includes a 30-millimeter cannon, a machine gun and "Cornet" anti-tank missiles.
