A center for experimental production of small-tonnage fishing fleet based on composite materials will be created on the basis of the Vympel shipyard (part of the United Shipbuilding Corporation) in the Yaroslavl Region. This was reported by the press service of the All-Russian Association of Fishery Enterprises.
Composite materials are currently used in aviation and mechanical engineering, as well as in military shipbuilding. A number of fishing companies operate vessels made of imported composite materials.
During the meeting of the working group on the construction of innovative small and small-tonnage fishing vessels made of composite materials, it was decided that a center for experimental production of small-tonnage fishing fleet based on composite materials will be created on the basis of Vympel.
The meeting participants noted that in order to develop the parameters of future projects, it is necessary to involve potential customers and experts in the field of fisheries.
