The domestic car "Moskvich 3" became the leader among new models whose prices in Russia decreased in the first quarter. Compared to last year, the average cost of "Moskvich" fell by 18.4% and amounted to 1.8 million rubles. This was reported by the press service of "Avito Auto."
According to "Avito Auto", the average price of a new car in the first quarter of 2025 was 2,959,900 rubles. The price of "Moskvich 3" decreased the most — by 18.4%.
The list of leaders in cost reduction also includes the Chinese Chery Tiggo 4 Pro (-13.8%) and the Russian car Lada Largus (-12.4%). According to information from the service, the average cost of "Moskvich 3" is approximately 1.8 million rubles. And the models that took second and third places in the ranking cost 2.1 million and 1.7 million rubles, respectively.
In the first quarter of this year, "Moskvich" cars demonstrated a record price reduction among all brands. On average, their cost fell by 14.7% compared to the same period last year.
The average price of a used car in Russia was 845 thousand rubles. Among car brands, Korean brands became noticeably more affordable: Hyundai, which lost 8% of its value compared to last year, as well as Kia (-7.1%).
Among the cars presented on the secondary market, the largest decrease in cost was demonstrated by the Korean Hyundai Solaris (–8.8%), the Japanese Toyota Camry and the Russian Lada Kalina (–6.2%). The average cost of a Korean car was just under 1 million rubles, a Japanese car — about 2.2 million, and a domestic car — 300 thousand rubles.
Earlier, the Mayor of Moscow, Sergey Sobyanin, announced the launch of taxis based on "Moskvich" cars in Cuba. As part of our cooperation with the republic, we plan to open a taxi fleet fully equipped with cars produced in Moscow.
