The TV7-117 family of aircraft engines is characterized by the highest reliability and low fuel consumption. This was reported by the United Engine Corporation (UEC).
The company noted that the designers of UEC-Klimov have developed several engines for airplanes and helicopters.
TV7-117ST-02 is designed for the Ladoga regional aircraft. The advantage of this engine is the ability to start from an electric starter-generator instead of an air start.
This greatly expands the capabilities of the aircraft: it will be able to take off from short runways and even from unprepared dirt and snow areas.
Another engine of this family is the TV7-117V turboshaft for Mi-38 helicopters. It is mass-produced and has the lowest fuel consumption in its class, as well as high reliability and fail-safe performance.
For example, last year new Mi-38 helicopters with TV7-117V engines successfully flew 6.5 thousand kilometers from Kazan to Magadan, surviving extreme -40 degrees.
Specialists of UEC-Klimov produce engines only from Russian parts, assemblies and components. At the same time, UEC enterprises in Ufa, Moscow, and Omsk participate in the common cause.
Earlier www1.ru reported that 200 aircraft will be built in Russia by 2030: there are guaranteed buyers with money.
