Russian laser anti-drone weapon "Posokh" will work at the speed of light

The weapon operates on the basis of focused radiation in the range invisible to the eye

The newest anti-drone system based on focused laser radiation, developed under the "Posokh" project, will operate in the range invisible to the eye. This was reported by the developing company.

Now "Posokh" does not need to be aimed at the target "for interception", it has no recoil, and the requirements for physical fitness are low. The radiation is completely silent.

As for the laser air defense system against drones, its speed to the object of impact is equal to the speed of light. And the probability of detonation of the warhead in the air is also increased, so the consequences of the drone falling will be reduced.
Developer of the "Posokh" complex

Products of the "Posokh" project are equipped with laser radiation sources, which are transmitted via fiber optics to the focusing device. The temperature at the point of impact depends on the distance, weather conditions, characteristics of the target material, and time.
