The flight design tests of the converted launch vehicle "Start-1M" are scheduled for next year. This was reported in the rocket and space industry.
The first launch of "Start-1M" is scheduled for 2026. Currently, work is underway on the fourth stage of the carrier.
The "Start-1M" launch vehicle is being created on the basis of the "Topol-M" intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) at the Moscow Institute of Thermal Technology.
"Start-1M" is capable of launching a payload of up to 500 kg into low Earth orbit. The launch of the "Start-1M" launch vehicle is expected to be carried out from the Vostochny Cosmodrome.
Currently, mobile solid-propellant "Topol-M" missiles are on combat duty as part of the Teikovo formation of the Strategic Missile Forces (RVSN), but they are close to exhausting their established service life; silo-based "Topol-M" ICBMs are part of the Tatishchevo formation of the RVSN.
Earlier www1.ru reported that "Vysokotochka" handed over a new batch of Pantsir-S SAM systems to the Ministry of Defense.
