The Russian submarine "Amur 1650" of Project 677E will become a new word in naval technology and a breakthrough in the world of non-nuclear submarines. The ship was developed to perform the most complex tasks in any conditions of the World Ocean, Rosoboronexport said.
The main tasks of the submarine are the destruction of enemy submarines, elimination of surface ships, vessels and marine platforms, destruction of ground targets, covert laying of minefields. Distinctive features are balanced armament, low noise and low visibility, a high level of automation and the use of advanced technologies.
The armament of the "Amur 1650" includes torpedoes, anti-ship missiles, cruise missiles for striking ground targets, sea mines and devices for hydroacoustic countermeasures.
The submarine is equipped with a modern sonar system that allows you to detect the enemy at long distances.
