Rosatom specialists have completed the "zero integration" of platforms for safety systems of the Akkuyu NPP under construction. For this, a unique converter of own design was used.
The converter was needed due to the use of a European-made turbine in the project, which uses the international OPC protocol for data exchange (while the upper-level Russian system uses the DTS protocol). RASU specialists had to create a "translator" – a special industrial computer and software for it.
The module converts signals from turbine sensors and detectors into the standard DTS, and then to operators.
According to Gleb Murashov, Director of the "Automated Process Control Systems" division of JSC "RASU", thanks to the new converter, both systems are integrated correctly. The device is also planned to be used to configure digital communication at the next units of the nuclear power plant.
Earlier www1.ru reported that at the Akkuyu NPP the operation of the main circulation pumps was checked.
