The Russian T-72B3M tank with the anti-cumulative-anti-drone "Medusa" kit withstood 18 kamikaze drone attacks. This was reported by military expert Evgeny Damantsev.
According to him, "Medusa" is the most effective protection of its kind against enemy FPV drones. Its steel cables can be quickly replaced in case of damage, even near the line of combat contact.
After numerous attacks, the T-72B3M tank is undergoing scheduled repairs before returning to combat missions.
Judging by the presented footage, "Medusa" is a system for protecting the turret of heavy armored vehicles, made of interconnected metal cables.
T-72B3M is a modernized version of the T-72B3 tank, which received a new sighting system with a digital display, as well as a television rear-view camera.
In addition, the tank was equipped with a new 125 mm gun with increased barrel life, a Sosna-U multi-channel gunner sight, a new R-168-25U-2 "Aqueduct" VHF radio station and new fire-fighting equipment.
Earlier www1.ru reported that Su-30SM2 fighters and Su-24M bombers practiced strikes against warships in the Baltic.
