Algerian Air Force Su-35S fighter practiced aerobatics: unique footage

The African Republic became the third foreign operator of the combat aircraft after China and Iran

Footage of an Algerian Air Force (AF) Su-35S fighter pilot practicing aerobatics over an airbase has gone viral on the web .

Military expert Evgeny Damantsev noted that a thrust-to-weight ratio of 1.1 to 1.23 kgf/kg, depending on the amount of fuel in the fuel system, is capable of providing a vertical climb without prior acceleration.

After that, at the moment of decreasing engine thrust and speed, the pilot activated the AL-41F1S engine thrust vectoring system and performed a turn with a minimum radius, and then a vertical descent with the entire bearing plane of the airframe.

The activation of the afterburner mode and acceleration of the vehicle marked the completion of the maneuver. The 'Bell' maneuver was also practiced.

The Algerian Air Force, apparently, received an unknown number of Su-35 fighters of Russian production, becoming the fourth operator of this type of aircraft in the world after Russia, China and Iran. The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation has not officially reported this.

Algeria is one of the main customers of Russian weapons and military equipment, and the Air Force of this state is considered one of the strongest in the region. They have Su-30MKA and MiG-29 fighters, as well as Su-24MP reconnaissance aircraft and Su-24 front-line bombers at their disposal.

Earlier www1.ru reported that Su-30SM2 fighters and Su-24M bombers practiced strikes against warships in the Baltic Sea.
