УЗГА переносит производство композитов для беспилотников «Форпост» в Казань

BAS-SP Company Counts on Support from the Government of Tatarstan

The Ural Works of Civil Aviation (UZGA) is transferring projects for the localization of composite materials from Ulyanovsk to Kazan. The subsidiary has been renamed BAS-SP.

The reason for the transfer was bureaucratic delays in the Ulyanovsk region, a shortage of personnel, and competition with local aviation enterprises. In Tatarstan, UZGA is counting on the support of the authorities and industrial infrastructure.

The main task of BAS-SP is to create components for strike and reconnaissance UAVs, such as the Forpost. Experts call the decision logical: composites are critical for modern unmanned aviation, and the relocation will strengthen synergy between the holding's projects. Results are expected in 2–3 years.

The appointment of a new CEO, Ramil Akhmadeev, who previously oversaw the development of the heavy Altair UAV, confirms the holding's focus on the production of drones from composites.
