The company's specialists are manufacturing equipment for the new research and expedition vessel of Project 23680

Zvezdochka Shipyard is actively working under a contract with Admiralty Shipyards. Designers are manufacturing a tunnel section for the VT24 thruster, which will be installed on the research and expedition vessel "Ivan Frolov" (Project 23680). All stages of production are controlled by the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping.

The tunnel section has an internal diameter of 2550 mm and a length of 2200 mm. It will become part of the hull of the "Ivan Frolov" research vessel. The VT24 thruster with a capacity of 2 MW is a unique development of the Center for Propulsion Systems.

The vessel "Ivan Frolov" was laid down on October 29, 2024, at Admiralty Shipyards. It is being developed by the Nevsky Design Bureau of the United Shipbuilding Corporation. After completion of construction, the vessel will become the flagship of polar science and will join the fleet of the Arctic and Antarctic Research Institute. The research vessel will perform important tasks, including replacing personnel at Antarctic stations and conducting scientific research in the ocean.
