The Roselectronics holding (part of Rostec) has begun supplying import-substituted microwave electronics for telecommunications. This was reported by the press service of the state corporation.
The products, designed for switching signals up to 18 GHz, are necessary for radio-electronic equipment of ground, air and space-based systems. The devices will replace German, American and French counterparts. Microwave modules can withstand multiple impacts with accelerations up to 50g and operate at temperatures from -60 to +85 degrees Celsius.
In addition, the modules can withstand acoustic noise up to 150 dB, which can be compared to a shot from a 12-gauge smoothbore shotgun or the force of a shock wave from a supersonic aircraft. At this level of noise, hearing damage can occur.
