Legendary DShKM anti-tank machine gun modernized for firing from a bipod

The weapon is capable of penetrating a 20 mm thick armor plate from 750 meters

Russian craftsmen have modernized the Degtyarev-Shpagin large-caliber machine gun large-caliber modernized (DShKM) for firing from a bipod. The footage appeared on social networks.

A bipod is a stand for weapons with one, two, or three support points. Bipods allow you to install weapons with support on any surface. The footage shows that the machine gun was placed in a trench. The shooter is firing accurately, despite the high recoil.

The machine gun was adopted by the Red Army more than 80 years ago and has retained its power to this day. Design work on the 12.7-mm machine gun began in the early 1930s. And on February 26, 1939, a resolution of the Defense Committee adopted it for service.
