The latest Kornet-EM anti-tank missile system (ATGM) with remote control has earned a reputation as one of the most effective ATGMs in the world. This was announced by Vladimir Gutenyov, First Vice President of the Russian Engineering Union.
According to him, the equipment has received significant improvements as a result of combat use. For example, the system has increased the range, now the missile is guided by a laser beam up to 8 km (compared to 5.5 km for previous versions).
Remote control has been added to the Kornet-EM, which significantly increased the safety of calculations under enemy return fire. The control panel has been improved - up to 3 launchers can be connected simultaneously at a distance of up to 100 m.
The module has been modified, which itself recognizes targets (wheeled vehicles, tanks, infantry fighting vehicles) and tells the operator what object he sees. The Kornet-EM also received the ability to use the latest Bulat missiles. They are capable of penetrating up to 250 mm of armor behind dynamic protection, that is, any modern armored objects.
Earlier www1.ru reported that the Forpost-RU drone will receive small-sized radars for guiding Kalibrs and loitering munitions.
