The S-350 Vityaz anti-aircraft missile system carries a package with transport and launch containers (TPK) of short-range (10–15 km) and medium-range (from 40 to 120 km) missiles on one launcher.
The phased array radar station with increased resolution has a viewing range of up to 250 km and can simultaneously track a large number of targets.
At the same time, the vertical arrangement of the package with the TPK during combat operation ensures that the missiles are launched strictly vertically, with the missile deviating to the flight path to the target in any direction. This provides a circular kill zone, an effective solution for organizing protection against attacks from any direction.
Vityaz also showed the minimum consumption of its ammunition to destroy targets. The air defense system is capable of integrating into modern information systems for alerting about the air situation.
