Russian military developed a remotely controlled turret for a large-caliber machine gun with belt feed "Kord". A video has appeared on the Web.
The "Kord" machine gun is distinguished by its accuracy and high range of target engagement; it can be used as a high-precision small arms weapon. The machine gun poses a threat to low-speed aerial targets, lightly armored targets, and enemy manpower.
Thanks to a specially designed barrel that is resistant to thermal loads, the "Kord" allows for continuous machine gun fire with sniper accuracy.
