Central Bank: ATMs for dispensing Russian rubles may appear in Myanmar

There are more than 60 POS terminals operating in Myanmar that accept Mir cards

The Central Bank is working with the authorities of Myanmar to increase the number of points accepting cards of the Russian payment system "Mir". This was stated by Alexei Guznov, Deputy Chairman of the regulator.

More than 60 terminals have already been opened. Now the issue of ATMs is being discussed, in which Russian tourists could receive cash.

Myanmar is the 13th country where Mir cards are accepted. Now they can be used to pay for purchases in 67 trade organizations in major cities of the country. POS terminals will be installed in another 14 locations.
