The Vostochny cargo terminal, located on the site of the Akkuyu NPP under construction in Turkey, has received its hundredth cargo vessel since the start of operation. This was reported by the press service of Rosatom State Corporation.
Sergey Butskikh, CEO of Akkuyu Nuclear JSC, said that commissioning works are currently underway at the first power unit, and construction and installation works are underway at the others. Equipment is also being delivered by sea.
The Vostochny cargo terminal is the most important logistics infrastructure of the project, ensuring uninterrupted cargo delivery.
The berth of the Vostochny terminal is designed to receive oversized cargo, including reactor components. The hundredth vessel delivered distribution gear elements and turbine unit components for various power units to the NPP site.
