Новейшие самолёты УТС-800 приступили к программе испытаний: летчики отмечают хорошую управляемость и скороподъемность машин

The aircraft does not require extraordinary skills from the pilot

The first two serial UTS-800 training aircraft, delivered to the Russian Ministry of Defense in 2024, have begun their testing program. This was reported by a representative of the Ural Civil Aviation Plant (UZGA).

UTS-800 Aircraft

The initial flights have demonstrated the correctness of the main ergonomic and technical solutions adopted. According to the pilots who performed the flights, the aircraft is stable and controllable, easy to operate, and "forgives" errors in piloting technique.

According to the pilots' conclusion, the UTS-800 is suitable for pilots with low qualifications. The aircraft does not require extraordinary skills, which is an advantage for a training aircraft.

Based on the test results, the UTS-800 confirmed the main flight performance characteristics: landing speed, take-off speed, stability, and controllability.

The company added that the aircraft has good visibility due to the large glazing area, despite the engine being located in the front of the aircraft.

Pilots note that they do not feel any moments from the propeller that need to be actively parried. In addition, the aircraft has a high rate of climb. The high thrust-to-weight ratio creates the feeling of a dynamic machine.
