Specialists of the Uralvagonzavod concern (part of the State Corporation Rostec) have begun work on increasing the power of engines of Russian tanks. This was reported in the company's press service.
The most modern Russian tank T-90M "Proryv" used in combat operations is equipped with an engine with a capacity of 1,130 horsepower. The T-72B3 tank has an engine with a capacity of 1 thousand horsepower.
Work is continuously underway to increase the power of engines of Russian tanks, as well as work to improve operational and technical characteristics, including reliability, reduced fuel and oil consumption, maintainability and others.
