The company Aeroflot Technics LLC (part of the Aeroflot Group) has announced plans to develop new areas in the maintenance and repair of engines for Airbus A320, Boeing 737, and 777 aircraft. This information is reflected in the company's RAS financial statements for 2024.
In March 2025, Aeroflot Technics plans to obtain permission to perform bulletin 72-0226, which concerns the hot section of GE-90 engines (installed on wide-body Boeing 777s). Currently, Aeroflot and its subsidiary Rossiya have 32 aircraft of this type in their fleet.
By April 2025, the company hopes to complete the project to expand the activities of the engine repair shop, including servicing VSV systems for CFM56-7B and CFM56-5B engines, which are used on A320 and Boeing 737 NG aircraft. These models form the basis of the narrow-body segment of the Russian aircraft fleet.
Other plans of the company include opening a section for aircraft marking, mastering the repair of landing gear struts, manufacturing and restoring thermal and sound insulation of fuselages, as well as performing composite repairs.
After the introduction of international sanctions in 2022, Aeroflot Technics successfully obtained permission from Rosaviatsiya to repair foreign aircraft with Russian registration and the status of a component developer for aircraft.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that Aeroflot is creating an electronic pilot portfolio and an application for flight attendants on the Aurora OS.
