Kingisepp Machine-Building Plant (KMZ) has manufactured a high-pressure electric compressor EKPA-2/150. It is designed for a sprinkler fire extinguishing system.
The compressor will be installed on an offshore platform for conducting geological, acoustic, geophysical, and oceanographic research.
The compressor's discharge pressure is up to 150 kgf/cm2 (15 MPa), and the operating voltage is 380V. The compressor is automatically controlled using a control and signaling panel.
The compressor was manufactured using materials and anti-corrosion coatings. They provide resistance to harsh marine operating conditions.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that KMZ will develop the Kambala boat for Arctic research.
