New Life for the Legendary "Kukuruznik": Fourth TВС-2МС for SibAeroCraft Airlines Takes to the Skies

Delivery of TВС-2МС turboprop aircraft for SibAeroCraft Airlines Completed

Rusaviaprom has completed the delivery of four TВС-2МС aircraft to SibAeroCraft Airlines from Tomsk. The last aircraft successfully passed tests at the Beryozkino airfield in Tomsk and was sent to the customer. Specialists checked all aircraft systems and evaluated its flight characteristics.

The tests were conducted by an experienced crew: test pilots Anton Bibaev and Dmitry Shadrin, as well as leading flight test engineer Viktor Nosov.

Special attention was paid to the new Honeywell ТРЕ-331-12 engine with a capacity of 1100 hp. Anton Bibaev noted its excellent responsiveness to control and good acceleration. This makes the aircraft maneuverable and safe.

During six flights with a total duration of 8.5 hours, there were no serious problems with the aircraft systems. The take-off and landing distances were reduced to 70 and 100 meters, respectively.

The TВС-2МС aircraft is a deeply modernized version of the Soviet An-2 biplane, which was known as a reliable workhorse of small and agricultural aviation. Currently, the TВС-2МС carries passengers on socially significant routes in various regions of Russia, including Irkutsk, Chita, Magadan, and Blagoveshchensk.
