A video has gone viral on the Web showing a Russian Lancet kamikaze drone disabling a M1097 Avenger anti-aircraft missile system (SAM) manufactured in the USA.

The video shows the drone accurately hitting one of the launch containers, where the "American" had surface-to-air missiles.

The M1097 Avenger uses eight missiles from portable FIM-92 Stingers as its main weapon. The firing range is from 200 to 5500 meters. Height - up to 3800 meters. There is also a 12.7 mm M3P machine gun, its rate of fire is 1100 rounds per minute. Ammunition - 200 rounds.

Zala Aero noted that the Lancet loitering munition has high flight characteristics, increased maneuverability and is equipped with onboard artificial intelligence.

The drone implemented a target identification function. With its help, the drone can find targets and attack autonomously.
