The newest multipurpose fourth-generation nuclear submarine of project 885M "Yasen-M" K-564 "Arkhangelsk" arrived at the permanent base in the Northern Fleet. This was reported by the press service of the fleet.
In the near future, the crew of the nuclear submarine will work out the tasks of the training course, after which the submarine will join the forces of constant readiness of the Northern Fleet.
"The ship turned out to be good, it is new, the most modern of the four ships that were built, because it already takes into account all the comments that were identified on the previous three ships. The ship is well managed, the crew has prepared, worked out, and rallied. Now we will work out the tasks of the training course, after which we will join the forces of constant readiness.
The multipurpose nuclear submarine "Arkhangelsk" is the third in the series of the "Yasen-M" project. Nuclear submarines of this series embody unique new Russian developments in the field of military weapons, electronic and technical complexes, and main power plants. The cruiser's armament includes "Onyx", "Zircon" and "Caliber" missiles, as well as 533 mm caliber torpedo tubes.
