The "Mir" sailing ship-record holder to be repaired in Kronstadt

The three-masted frigate "Mir" was built in 1987

The sailing training vessel (STV) "Mir" will be repaired at the Kronstadt Marine Plant. The three-masted frigate is moored to the berthing embankment next to the barque "Sedov", the USC press service reported.

The ship is planned to repair and test the bottom-board fittings, repair and paint rooms for equipment and instruments, Kingston boxes, hull work, repair and paint anchor systems, repair the propeller-rudder complex, engines, boilers, pumps, pipelines, electrical part, ladders and other works.

About the "Mir" sailing ship

The three-masted frigate was built in 1987 for the sailing practice of cadets of maritime educational institutions. "Mir" is a record holder in its class, the sailing ship has twice won the Cutty Sark regatta. Currently, the ship is managed by FSUE Rosmorport.
