The sailing training ship (STS) "Mir" will be repaired at the Kronstadt Marine Plant. The three-masted frigate is moored to the berthing embankment next to the barque "Sedov", the USC press service reported.
The ship is planned to undergo repair and testing of bottom and side fittings, repair and painting of rooms for equipment and instruments, Kingston boxes, hull work, repair and painting of anchor systems, repair of the propeller-rudder complex, engines, boilers, pumps, pipelines, electrical part, ladders and other works.
About the sailboat "Mir"
The three-masted frigate was built in 1987 for the sailing practice of cadets from maritime educational institutions. "Mir" is a record holder in its class, the sailboat has twice won the Cutty Sark regatta. Currently, the ship is under the jurisdiction of FSUE Rosmorport.
