Footage of field tests of a pedestal machine gun mount based on the modernized Tula-made four-barrel 7.62-mm aviation machine gun GShG-7.62 has appeared online.
The new product received a thermal sight with a high-definition (HD) LCD indicator. The complex will be able to effectively work against drones at a distance of 700-800 m. The rate of fire of the GShG-7.62 is from 3500 to 6000 rounds/min with an initial bullet speed of 820-850 m/s.
Military analyst Evgeny Damantsev noted that the development of a turret-mounted remotely controlled combat module for armored vehicles and surface ships will be the most relevant area for modernizing this machine gun complex.
Earlier www1.ru reported that the Russian military had installed an anti-tank missile system on a buggy.
