From 2025 to 2030, 32 new metro stations will appear in Moscow. This was announced by the Mayor of Moscow, Sergei Sobyanin.
He recalled that eight new metro stations were opened in Moscow last year. In 2025, it is planned to complete the construction of the Troitskaya line section from ZIL to Novatorskaya. And by 2030, the stations Sosenki, Letovo, Desna, Kedrovaya, Vatutinki and Troitsk will appear on this line.
In addition, in 2025, the design of the Biryulevskaya metro line will be underway, which will include ten new stations. Also, by 2028, it is planned to complete the construction of the new Golyyanovo station on the eastern section of the Arbatsko-Pokrovskaya line, the Mayor of Moscow said.
The construction of the Rublevo-Arkhangelskaya metro line will continue. The first stations of this line will be opened in 2026, Sergei Sobyanin noted.
The construction of the Dostoyevskaya station — the first on the Circle Line in 70 years — is in full swing. We plan to complete the work in 2030.
As a reminder, a new Moscow Metro development scheme until 2035 was presented earlier. The updated plans take into account key changes that will affect the transport infrastructure of the capital.
Sobyanin also announced that the capital will have the most modern metro rolling stock in the world. By 2030, it will implement such innovations as autonomous running, elements of unmanned control, climate control and new, more spacious metro trains.
