In 2024, the tank units of the Central Military District (CMD) received almost 50 deeply modernized T-90M "Proryv" and T-72B3M tanks. This was reported by the press service of the military district.
The received T-90Ms and T-72B3Ms have replenished the fleets of combat vehicles and strengthened several tank units of the "Center" group of troops at once.
UVZ reported that they continue to modernize tanks. Combat vehicles are equipped with nets against FVP drones and rubber-reinforced protection. Additional protection is installed on the stern, engine, and engine-transmission compartment. The tanks received stealth equipment and electronic warfare systems.
A tank from the beginning of 2022 and a tank from the end of 2024 are, one might say, two different combat vehicles.
