Secure passwords should include 12–16 different characters or a combination of words. This was stated by Alexander Bleznekov, head of the information security strategy development at IT integrator "Telecom Birzha".
When you see that the minimum password length should be 8 characters, it doesn't mean 8. Even 8-digit passwords are now guessed very quickly. The recommendation is 12-16 characters.
He advised against using repeating characters. According to the specialist, it is better to spend 10–20 minutes and come up with several complex passwords. It is better to use combinations of words, for example, from your favorite quotes, and enter them in Latin letters.
The specialist emphasized the importance of implementing a two-factor authentication system. Bleznekov also recommends using specialized programs for storing passwords. In his opinion, such tools provide a high level of security and allow you to create reliable passwords.
There are free password managers, but their selection should be approached with caution. It is important to study the reputation of such programs in the market. Built-in password managers are offered by Google, Apple, and Microsoft. There is also a Russian password manager from Kaspersky Lab — Kaspersky Password Manager.

The victims downloaded the malicious FireScam software from a fake page of the Russian mobile application marketplace RuStore. The scammers very well disguised their virus as a real Telegram Premium.
