A few months later, representatives of "High-Precision Complexes" reported that prototypes of remote control systems for "Cornet" have already been released for comprehensive testing.

The "Cornet" remote control complex includes a remote control in a shockproof container with controls and a display that shows the image from the ATGM sight.

Technical characteristics of the "Cornet" ATGM:

  • Missile caliber — 152 mm
  • Firing range — 100 – 5500 m
  • Control system — semi-automatic, laser beam guided
  • Armor penetration of a cumulative warhead — 1,000 – 1200 mm
  • Launcher reloading time — 30 s

A few days ago, it also became known that Russian soldiers at the forefront will soon begin to use remote control of anti-tank "Konkurs-M" complexes, which allows protecting the ATGM operator from return fire.

Alan Lushnikov, head of the Kalashnikov Group, noted that one device will allow the operator to alternately control three Konkurs-M ATGMs, while being 100 m away from the launchers. This is the maximum distance that can be achieved by connecting four cables of 25 m each. The time to bring the ATGM into combat mode together with remote control does not exceed 20 minutes.

Earlier www1.ru reported that Kalashnikov Showed Unique Footage of Tests of the Latest Konkurs-M Remote-Controlled ATGM.
