ЦКП «Скиф» запустят в 2025 году: перенос сроков из-за санкций

Российские ученые работают над разработкой новых систем для ЦКП «Скиф» в условиях санкций

The Russian government has approved the postponement of the launch of the "Center for Collective Use 'Siberian Ring Source of Photons'" in the Novosibirsk Region to 2025.

Previously, the commissioning was scheduled for December 31, 2024, but due to difficulties with the development and production of some systems on Russian equipment, the project implementation deadlines were postponed.

The government decree allows changing the terms of work and stages of execution of state contracts for the project, with the possibility of completing them before December 31, 2025. This decision is due to the fact that, under sanctions pressure, Russian scientists are developing some systems for installation from scratch.

The SKIF project is a mega-science center with a 4+ generation synchrotron, which is being built in the Novosibirsk science city of Koltsovo. This is a unique complex of 34 buildings and structures that will provide advanced scientific research using synchrotron radiation beams. It is expected that SKIF will play an important role in solving urgent problems both in the field of innovative technologies and in industry.
