Меньше кораблей, больше миссий: длительность полётов пилотируемых «Союз-МС» увеличат

Currently, the duration of Russian manned spacecraft flights is about six months

From 2025, the duration of manned Soyuz MS spacecraft flights will be increased from the current six months to seven to nine months. According to Roscosmos, this measure will save one ship every two years, optimizing the use of resources and supporting the manned flight program to the ISS.

Also in 2025, the third amendment to the agreement between Roscosmos and NASA on cross-flights to the International Space Station is expected to be signed. This agreement will ensure the guaranteed presence on the ISS of at least one NASA astronaut and one Roscosmos cosmonaut. The amendment envisages two flights of NASA astronauts on Soyuz MS-28 and Soyuz MS-29 spacecraft in 2025 and 2026. NASA will provide three flights of Roscosmos cosmonauts on Crew Dragon: one additional in 2025 and one each in 2026 and 2027.

These initiatives are aimed at ensuring the continuity of the international crew's work on the ISS and supporting long-term cooperation between the space agencies of Russia and the United States.
