According to Sergey Tsyganov, an automotive expert and author of the Telegram channel "Russian Automobile," the reason for the problems with sales of Xcite X-Cross 7 cars in December was that production continues to operate, but sales remain at zero.
Even with a credit discount of 300,000 rubles from AvtoVAZ, cars are hardly being bought, with a rate of 22%, the monthly payment for the cheapest X-Cite is 65,000 for seven years.
The auto expert emphasized that dealers are currently offering a direct discount of 150,000 rubles on the Xcite X-Cross 7 model without the need to apply for a loan or trade in their car.
However, in January, the cost may fall below cost. This is what dealers predict, expressing hope that they will be able to hold out in January and February, and the market will revive in March.
In early 2025, the cost of the Xcite X-Cross 7 model may fall below 2 million rubles, as Sergey Tsyganov suggests.
But Chery also provides significant discounts on the Tiggo 7 Pro Max. The cost of the Tiggo 7 Pro Max Ultimate in the basic configuration is 2,195,000 rubles, but this is the price for a 2023 car. Currently, there is no such configuration in the price list, but there is a similar Ultra, the cost of which is 3,120,000 rubles when paying in cash.
Can you imagine the size of the discount and the level of overstocking? The basic Chery Tiggo 7 Pro Max Active can be taken for 2,399,987, which is lower than the MSRP by 380,000. But, after bargaining and buying casco from the dealer, you can easily drop to 2.2 million.
Chery currently has the largest stock of cars: a huge number have been produced and imported, added the author of the Telegram channel "Russian Automobile". Therefore, the beginning of 2025 promises to be a tense period when discounts will be in effect. Those who are willing to wait will be able to purchase Xcite or Chery at the most favorable price in mid-February.
