The newest frigate of the Russian Navy Project 22350 "Admiral Gorshkov", which is a carrier of "Zircon" and "Caliber" missiles, has completed its passage through the English Channel and continued moving in a northern direction.
The Northern Fleet noted that the ship will continue to move in accordance with the current campaign plan.
During the crossing of the Iberian Atlantic, the frigate's crew conducted a series of exercises on conducting rescue operations, exercises on providing air defense and anti-submarine defense of the ship.
The long voyage of the frigate "Admiral of the Fleet of the Soviet Union Gorshkov" started on May 17. The main objectives of the voyage are to ensure a naval presence and demonstrate the flag in operationally important areas of the far ocean zone.
According to the fleet, the ship's crew made calls at the port of Havana in Cuba, the port of La Guaira in the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, the port of Oran in the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria, and the port of Bizerte in the Republic of Tunisia.
