Russian Su-30SM fighters are capable of effectively engaging various aerial targets: aircraft of various types, cruise missiles, helicopters, and drones. Moreover, targets can be hit with a 30-mm GSh-30-1 automatic cannon and various types of air-to-air missiles.
Footage has appeared online of the "thirtieth" using its artillery against an enemy UAV. Apparently, a few shells were enough to interrupt the flight of the aerial target.
The target is detected by a powerful radar with a phased antenna array, as well as a built-in optoelectronic station that detects even low-flying and low-observable objects by their thermal radiation.
The aircraft's super-maneuverability is ensured by engines with forward horizontal tail and thrust vectoring.
The two-seat Su-30SM fighter, in addition to solving combat missions, can be used to train pilots on advanced multirole super-maneuverable single-seat fighters.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that the KamAZ-43269 Vystrel universal military armored vehicle has been modernized for modern combat conditions, receiving electronic warfare systems and drone protection.
