Technological independence of Russian submarine shipbuilding has been fully ensured during the construction of a series of fourth-generation nuclear-powered submarines (NPS) at the "Sevmash" enterprise. This was announced by the head of the plant, Mikhail Budnichenko.
The most important state task has been solved on the fourth-generation nuclear submarines - the technological independence of Russian submarine shipbuilding has been ensured. Our ships are fully equipped with domestic equipment.
According to Budnichenko, the fourth-generation multi-purpose and strategic nuclear submarines surpass their third-generation predecessors in many parameters. The new nuclear submarines are equipped with modern weapons systems and have improved characteristics, such as physical fields and maneuverability. Advanced technical solutions are used in the construction of modern nuclear submarines, which makes "Sevmash" one of the most equipped enterprises in Russia for creating ships of this class.
Over its 85 years of existence, "Sevmash" has produced 140 nuclear submarines. In the last 12 years alone, the plant has delivered 12 fourth-generation nuclear submarines to the fleet.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that the newest fifth-generation nuclear submarine will appear in Russia.
