«Билайн» переведёт 3G в LTE ещё в 15 регионах

In 2025, refarming in the 2100 range is also planned in 18 regions

"Beeline" has focused its efforts on implementing innovative solutions, including the complete transition of the 3G spectrum to LTE and refarming to improve network coverage. This was reported by the company's press service.

In 2024, "Beeline" conducted refarming in the High Band ranges (LTE 1800 and 2100) in 16 regions of Russia. These included the Vologda, Udmurt, Irkutsk and Kirov, Murmansk, Novgorod regions, Perm Territory and others.

The complete transfer of the 3G spectrum to the LTE network was carried out in 9 regions of the Russian Federation. Among them are St. Petersburg, the Leningrad Region, the Altai Territory and the Volgograd Region. In some other regions, a partial shutdown of the 3G network in favor of LTE 2100 was also carried out.

The company also carried out LTE 900 refarming in 12 regions. These included Moscow, the Moscow Region, the Altai Territory and others. The partially enabled LTE 900 spectrum is also used in 8 regions, mainly in regional territories. The completion of the process of completely transferring the 3G spectrum to LTE in the Moscow Region was an important stage in the development of the network.

One of the key tools for modernizing infrastructure is refarming, which helps to increase the overall capacity of the LTE network. In 2025, we plan to conduct refarming in the 2100 range in 18 regions, as well as completely transfer the 3G spectrum to the LTE network in 15 regions. In addition, we will continue to develop coverage by conducting LTE 900 refarming in 13 regions.
