In 2025, JSC GLONASS plans to introduce artificial intelligence (AI) technologies to optimize call processing through the ERA-GLONASS state emergency response system for accidents. This was announced by the company's CEO, Alexey Raikevich.
Artificial intelligence will become an indispensable assistant for people and operators, allowing them to navigate the situation even faster. Currently, a call is transferred in 19 seconds.
In order to minimize potential errors and do it even faster, we are starting to use modern technologies.
In the third quarter of 2024, 532,000 vehicles were connected to the ERA-GLONASS system. This is three times more than was registered in the same period in 2023 and 2022.
In total, 11.6 million cars have already been connected to the ERA-GLONASS system.
ERA-GLONASS is an emergency response system for accidents. Its task is to process and transmit information about traffic accidents and other events on the roads to emergency response services. The functioning of the ERA system is ensured by its operator — the joint-stock company GLONASS. All issues related to the system are regulated by the Federal Law "On the State Automated Information System 'ERA-GLONASS'".
It was previously reported that the state company Glonass is starting to produce a new generation of emergency call devices (UVEOES 2.0), which will operate on the basis of the ERA-GLONASS system. According to the company's CEO, Alexey Raikevich, they represent a unique platform of services for drivers.
