Specialists from the military-industrial holding company "Kingisepp Machine-Building Plant" (KMZ) repaired the automation system of the main engine gearboxes 6ChN 40/46 of the rescue tugboat "Churov". The customer was the Russian Ministry of Defense. This was reported by the holding's press service.
As explained at KMZ, the automation system allows remote control of equipment start-up, monitoring of engine speed, fuel consumption, oil and coolant.
The work was completed efficiently and in a short time, which allowed the vessel to promptly begin performing its tasks.
Employees of the KMZ holding have extensive experience in repairing and servicing diesel engines.
