Roskomnadzor has restricted access to several popular sites for online anime viewing, including jut.su, animego.org, yummyanime.tv, and amedia.site. This decision was made on the grounds provided by Federal Law No. 149-FZ of July 27, 2006.
According to information posted on the agency's website, all these resources have been added to the register of prohibited domain names and network addresses. The reasons for the blocking are not specified, but it is assumed that they may be related to the placement of anime series containing elements deemed undesirable under Russian law.
Sites, including AnimeGO, have confirmed the blocking of their domains and announced that they have begun to switch to new addresses. Some resources, such as YummyAnime, expressed dissatisfaction with the lack of prior warnings and stated that the reason for the blocking may be related to content that violates Russian laws.
Some of these sites were added to the registry on December 2, and larger ones on December 3, with access blocked on December 5.
