The characteristics of the BMP-3 modification, which was spotted during transportation on a car platform, have become known. Military expert Evgeny Damantsev explained that it is a highly mobile complex of automated control systems for anti-tank formations (KSAU PTF) 83T289-1 "Zavet".
This is a command and observation vehicle equipped with a multispectral optoelectronic and television-thermal imaging complex for detecting targets at a distance of up to 5 km during the day and up to 1.5 km at night. The covered armament on the new product is an automated combat module based on the NSV-12.7 machine gun.
The vehicle is also equipped with a remote command and observation post for the battery or division commander 83T239-1.8.
