The Russian petrochemical market will actively develop in the next five years. Domestic polymers will remain competitive. This is the opinion of analysts at Kept.
According to them, this will be possible due to the development of new industries, the availability of affordable raw materials, as well as state support for the industry. However, there are also risks. The fact is that domestic manufacturers depend on imported equipment, and they also lack funding.
Experts are convinced that by 2030, consumption of polyethylene and polypropylene per capita will increase in Russia. The figure will reach 42 kg. And in 2035 it will reach 48 kilograms. This corresponds to the level of developed countries.
Kept emphasizes that demand for petrochemicals will increase 1.6 times since 2023. Growth in consumption is expected in the packaging industry, automotive industry, construction and medical sector.
