A detachment of ships of the Pacific Fleet, consisting of the corvettes "Gromkiy", "Rezkyy", "Hero of the Russian Federation Aldar Tsydenzhapov" project 20380 and the tanker "Pechenga", completed the program of a business call at the port of Sattahip, after which it took part in a naval exercise with ships of the Royal Thai Navy.
Ships of the Russian Navy and the Thai Navy worked out the tasks of joint maneuvering in the Gulf of Siam, organizing communications and other issues of interaction. After the exercise, the detachment of Russian corvettes continued to carry out tasks of a long voyage to the Asia-Pacific region.
The ships are designed to detect and destroy surface ships and submarines of the enemy, to ensure the landing of troops, as well as to solve tasks in the near sea zone.
