A new factory for the production of Chinese cars may appear in the Novosibirsk or Irkutsk region. This was announced by Vitaly Mankevich, Chairman of the Russian-Asian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RAUIE).
The creation of a factory of a Chinese automobile company jointly with Rostec is currently under discussion.
According to Vitaly Mankevich, the priority is to build a factory in the Novosibirsk region, but the Irkutsk region is also being considered as an alternative. The start of the project is scheduled for the second half of 2025 or the beginning of 2026. Which of the Chinese companies was chosen as a partner was not disclosed.
Earlier www1.ru reported that the former Bridgestone tire factory has resumed production.
