Russian 152-mm guided artillery projectiles "Krasnopol-M2" are superior to American M982 Block IA Excalibur projectiles in almost all parameters. This was pointed out by military expert Evgeny Damantsev.
He noted that the US development, apart from the range of up to 60 km from L52 guns, will not be able to counter the Tula projectile with any other unique parameters.
In particular, the semi-active laser seeker of the "Krasnopol-M2" ensures the destruction of moving and maneuvering ground objects, and also has 100% noise immunity from L-band electronic warfare equipment that suppresses the operation of GLONASS correction channels.
On the front lines, Excalibur has already encountered an increase in circular error probable to several tens of meters due to the impact of Russian R-330Zh "Zhitel" electronic warfare systems.
The latest modification of the projectile is the "Krasnopol-M2" with a firing range of 26 km, as well as increased accuracy in hitting small targets. It has increased combat power and the ability to be used at any time of the day, in cloudy weather and strong winds.
