If necessary, Russia is capable of attacking targets in Europe and the Atlantic zone with the Oreshnik medium-range ballistic missile. The range of the missile was estimated in the American publication Military Watch Magazine (MWM).
Journalists noted that medium-range ballistic missiles provide a valuable advantage for hitting targets in Europe and the Atlantic.
A similar complex can also be placed within range of Western military facilities in South Korea, Japan, and Guam.
They added that the Oreshnik has no analogues in the Western world, where arsenals of ground-based ballistic missiles are currently limited.
Russian President Vladimir Putin noted that the military had already used the Oreshnik in a non-nuclear hypersonic configuration. Sharing the characteristics of the latest MRBM, he noted that the missiles attack targets at a speed of 2-3 km per second, about 10 Mach.
Earlier www1.ru reported that Kalashnikov has completed the shipment of combat small arms under the main contract ahead of schedule.
