A video has been published showing a Russian Su-34 fighter-bomber of the Russian Aerospace Forces, during which the aircraft's crew had to dodge two missiles from the American Patriot SAM system.
This is the best job in the world! And yes, there were times when the enemy spared no anti-aircraft missiles for us and launched four per crew on every flight.
The Su-34 engaged targets with glide bombs when the flight controller informed him via radio communication about the launch of three Patriot anti-aircraft missiles at the fighter.
The crew commander acknowledged the information and initiated an intensive maneuver with a descent to "shake off" the launched missiles and move out of the enemy radar's field of vision.
The navigator reported the deployment of flares, after which the pilot continued to perform advanced and complex aerobatics. One missile exploded behind the aircraft, causing the communication in the cockpit to be lost. The other Patriot missed.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that hundreds of "Omut" EW systems have been delivered to the Russian military. They will become a reliable defense against enemy drones.
