Российский оптоволоконный дрон уничтожил Marder прямо в лоб: немецкая БМП не устояла

Дроном управляли типом навигации «Гроза-Леска»

An episode of the destruction of a German 1A3 Marder IFV by a Russian fiber optic controlled drone has gone viral on the Net. The strike hit directly in the frontal projection into the sector of the combat module's turret ring.

Before the strike, the operator flew the drone to the target over the trees. Overcoming such obstacles is a weak point in the application of thin fiber optics, which can break even from a strong gust of wind. In this case, everything worked out.

The "Thunder-Leska" FPV drone control system via optical fiber, which provides uninterrupted communication in conditions of electronic warfare (EW), was presented in August at the "Army" forum.

The system physically, using optical fiber-line, provides controllability and video transmission to the operator, therefore it can ignore radio shadow zones and enemy EW. According to information from open sources, the control range of a drone with the "Thunder-Leska" system is up to 20 km, it can carry a load of up to 3.5 kg.

Earlier www1.ru reported that an important feature of the Su-57 fighters will allow to detect Storm Shadow even at hypersonic speeds.
